We may not actually be in Vegas this year — perhaps a small blessing since it’s still a sizzling 90+ degrees in Sin City right now — but we’re as energized as ever to embark on 3 days of DevOps virtually at the DevOps Enterprise Summit from October 13 - 15!
DevOps Enterprise Summit is a conference for the technology leaders of large, complex organizations implementing DevOps principles and practices. Founded by Gene Kim, the event’s goal is to give leaders the tools and practices they need to develop and deploy software faster. The programming emphasizes both evolving technical and architectural practices and the methods needed to lead widespread change efforts in large organizations.
Virtual or otherwise, there’s so much to be excited about. Here’s how you can engage with us this week:
Tuesday, October 13th at 2:45 pm PDT
Today more than ever, downtime has an unprecedented impact on businesses and end-users. To be effective at modern day operations, we need to focus on resilience. Unfortunately, both operational expertise and the human intuition necessary to troubleshoot an incident is hard to train and currently lives as institutional knowledge within a small subset of most organizations. Our founder and CTO, Tina Huang, will share how a data-driven approach coupled with human-in-the-loop automation can democratize the skill set and knowledge needed for modern day operations. This will enable SREs to be more effective but also empower a broader range of people to take on that reliability role.
On Tuesday 10/13 at 5:30 pm PDT, join us for a spirit infused discussion about Scotch with Sarah McKinney, sommelier and spirits expert from the 3 Michelin star and award-winning Napa restaurant, The French Laundry. One lucky attendee will also leave with a top shelf prize.
On Wednesday 10/14 at 5:30 pm PDT, hear lessons from the sky from Fighter Pilot Anthony 'AB' Bourke. He’ll share nail-biting stories from 9/11 and speak about the power of post-mortems, followed by an "ask me anything" style Q&A. Join us for a chance to win a reserve pinot noir from AB’s winery in Russian River Valley.
The human is centered at Transposit, and that means we want to connect with you! We hope you’ll visit our booth to see a demo, chat with our team, and gain additional insight into what human-in-the-loop automation means and how we can help your team get there. Of course, we’ve also got swag to give away! Additionally, we can be found on the conference Slack at our channel #xpo-transposit, and, as always, on Twitter @transposit. We hope to see you there!
