Setting Up Slack

As one of your first steps when starting your journey with Transposit, set up Slack, as described below, then add a custom Slack field in an incident type.

You will then have enabled your team to set up Slack in their incidents and use Transposit from Slack.

Setting Up Slack for a Team#

In the Organization settings, you connect and read a user directory from Slack and add a Transposit bot to it.

1. Click Settings in the navigation bar on the left and then click Organization. In the Communication Platforms pane, click Connect Slack.

2. Select your Slack workspace and click Accept.

3. Notice that Transposit syncs with your Slack workspace.

Setting Up Slack for an Account#

In the Account settings, you link a Transposit user with a Slack user. This enables Slack content to be brought into Transposit and to associate it with the correct users.

1. Click the gear icon in the lower left and select Account.

2. Notice that your Transposit account has been connected to the Slack workspace.
