Google Calendar

New to setting up Transposit? Learn how to get started.

Prerequisites

Available Actions

  • Create Google Meet event - Uses Google Calendar to create a Meet event
  • Find current events - Finds current Google Calendar events by name
  • Invite user - Invites a user to a Google Calendar event

Before working with individual actions, such as the above, go to the Explore Templates tab in the Automation Hub, and check if a template that suits your needs already exists.

Set Up the Integration

Let's get started pulling data from Google Calendar into Transposit.

  1. Make sure you're logged into Transposit, then click this link to open the Google Calendar settings dialog, enter a name, and click Save.

  2. In the Integrations list, where your key is now included, click Authenticate.

  3. The browser opens, letting you log in to your Google account and letting you provide approval to Transposit for accessing it.

Google Calendar is now enabled to interact with Transposit.

Use the Integration

Now that you've configured your integration, add one or more of the integration's actions to an automation, test the automation, and then add the automation to an incident type.

  • Add an Action. While creating your automations, when you search for Google Calendar actions, you see the following.

When you combine the Google Calendar actions with a For Each Loop and a Transformation, you can extract information about current Google events, as shown below.

  • Test the Automation. For example, when you test the scenario outlined above, you see the following.

  • Add the Automation to an Incident Type. Now that you've tested the automation, make it available to your incident responders by adding it to an incident type.
